Earlier this month, third grade students in Alvarado ISD received dictionaries provided by the Cleburne Rotary Club.
The program that supplies the dictionaries, the Rotary Literacy Project, is led by assistant county attorney, David Barkley. The Rotary Club provides dictionaries in Cleburne every year, but branches outside its local community every two years.
“This is a wonderful gesture by the Cleburne Rotary Club,” said Dr. Chester Juroska, Alvarado ISD Superintendent. “I saw how proud the students were as they received their copies. The best part was that they were told they could write their names inside the dictionary.”
